Our Resource Centre is ‘the hub’ – often people’s first contact with our organisation.
Through the Resource Centre we provide support tailored to each and every unique person that pops through the door.
For some this could be as simple as a little information and a quick chat before they visit their GP.
For others it could require a number of services – that’s fine too! We’re happy to help in whatever way works best for you.
A huge part of the Resource Centre is crisis support, our staff are experienced and reassuring, they are all practical problem solvers, they will work with you to develop a plan on how to improve the situation as quickly and easily as possible. They can also refer you to our Housing Project’s Crisis support team if that’s what’s needed.
In the Resource Centre we also provide 1:1 support through counselling, talk to a staff member for a referral.
Group support is available through our MoodMaster sessions – review your week – what’s helping and what’s not, then move forward with more positivity and purpose.
We offer Men in Mind on a Thursday afternoon and Women in Mind on a Friday afternoon, both groups help you to build networks, make friends and find new interests.
Ever wondered about yoga? Why not give it a try in a supportive environment on a Monday 3:00pm – this is free of charge and a fantastic way to improve mind, body and soul! Beginners welcome!
Since introducing an even healthier menu to the Resource Centre, the numbers eating have increased again – on average 40 meals are enjoyed on a Wednesday and Thursday!
Learn how to cook similar healthy meals at home too, try our Healthy Eating course.
Join us on Smoothie Tuesday (fortnightly) to enjoy tasty freshly prepared smoothies with friends. Recipes are available for you to recreate these at home too – a great way to help you achieve 5-a-day!
As always, our approach is flexible and holistic, so if there’s something you can think of that will help – just ask and we’ll do our best to provide this or source someone else that can.
